I’ve moved the blog from texdev.wordpress.com to here as this lets me upload whatever I like to the site. So I’ll be able to post snapshots of code, source for articles and talks, and so on here. The theme is the same as I was using on WordPress.com, but it’s been updated. I hope everyone likes it!

  1. Congrats on the domain move. I’m sure you will appreciate the technical freedom you have when hosting you site under your own domain.

    Have you considered adding redirects from your old site to the new one? I don’t know if wordpress allows this, but having two versions of the same site floating around will confuse search engines. A permanent HTTP 301 redirect is recommended if you want search engines to know about the move.

  2. A quick look at the WordPress.com forums says I can’t do an auto-redirect. [Thinks] I’ll kill the blog entirely: probably the safest option!
